Thai Dessert - Bananas Cooked in Coconut Milk ( Kluai Buat Chi)
I am learning Thai dessert at work. Yesterday, another Thai chef was kind enough to let me take a picture of how she makes Kluai Buat Chi. They are bananas cooked in coconut milk. Most ingredients in Thai cooking are just approximation so I am sorry that I won't be able to share the exact measurement needed. Anyway, here's the step- by- step procedure of this popular Thai dessert.
Kluai Buat Chi
Pour coconut milk into a pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Add sugar and a dash of salt. Adjust the taste to your preference. Stir.
While you wait for the coconut milk to boil the second time peel the bananas. Cut them crosswise.
Drop the bananas in the pot.
Cook between 10 - 15 minutes or just until tender.
Ladle into a bowl. Serve and Enjoy!
